STATHI Katsidis' fiancee Melissa Jackson has spoken about the anguish of her last moments with the champion jockey, reports the Courier-Mail in Brisbane.
It says: Ms Jackson awoke early yesterday in the couple's rented Hendra home to find Katsidis face down in the lounge room.
"We were soulmates and best friends. I've been through the highest of highs and the lowest of lows with Stathi," Ms Jackson revealed to The Courier-Mail last night.
"One of Stathi's problems was that he felt everybody's feelings. Last night, he was talking about his brother Michael and obviously some past problems there weighed heavily on his mind. He was so close to Michael."
She said the couple had been drinking with friends at the Hamilton Hotel on Monday afternoon and quarrelled on their return before she went to bed.
The cause of death was not known last night however there has been no suggestion of suicide or foul play.
