JOCKEY Daniel Stackhouse enhanced his reputation at Moonee Valley yesterday - perhaps enough to become recognisable on Victorian racetracks, reports the Melbourne Herald-Sun.

It says: But at Echuca on Sunday, the young ex-Kiwi was threatened with eviction.

Stackhouse, who won the second race on the Darren Weir-trained Taiyoo, decided to help Jarrod Fry lose weight and, along with Billy Egar, ran around the track, bare-chested in near 40C heat.

"Security didn't recognise us and we were almost evicted until we convinced them we were jockeys just keeping fit between races," Stackhouse said.

There was no chance of eviction at the Valley yesterday, however, as he showed his class with victory aboard the short-priced favourite Champagne Shisha in a 1200m handicap.

Stackhouse, 21, jumped to the lead, stacked the field and then shot away to win by two-and-a-half lengths in an impressive riding display.
