The Group 1 double header of the Lexus Newmarket Handicap (1200m) and the Darley Australian Cup (2000m) carry much of the riches and glamour on Flemington's Super Saturday meeting but it is likely to be one of the support races that draws the most interest from racing fans.

Punters will be treated to the return of the early TAB Melbourne Cup favourite when Puissance De Lune begins his Melbourne Festival of racing cameo in the Group 2 Blamey Stakes (1600m).

The import returns to the track for the first time since he posted a dominant five length win in the Group 3 Queen Elizabeth Stakes on the final day of the Melbourne Cup Carnival.

As with last year's Melbourne Cup hero Green Moon, who incidentally contests Saturday's Australian Cup, trainer Darren Weir has stated the autumn campaign will be a light one for son of Shamardal who will be aimed at the Emirates Melbourne Cup (3200m).

Eighteen gallopers have been entered for the Blamey and include last year's Australian Cup hero Manighar, who is first-up for Peter Moody since September, and French Group 1 winner Mutual Trust, now in the care of Mornington trainer Sam Pritchard-Gordon.

The Blamey is one of three Group 2 races on a Super Saturday support card composed entirely of black-type races.

The TAB Kewney Stakes (1400m) for the fillies is another race bursting with class, headlined by Bart Cummings' Group 1-winning galloper Norzita.

The daughter of Thorn Park was ultra-impressive when winning the Listed Typhoon Tracy Stakes (1200m) first-up and is likely to start favourite in a field that could also feature flashy grey Members Joy, the progressive Petite Diablesse and ubeaten Sino Eagle.

And another star could emerge from the Henry Bucks Sires' Produce Stakes (1400m), won last year by glamour colt All Too Hard, with 21 classy juveniles entered for the Group 2 event.

A winner of the Inglis Premier (1200m) at Mornington last start, Bjorn Baker's filly Twilight Royale is down to run alongside exciting Blue Diamond runner Shamus Award, Robert Smerdon's Politeness and a trio of Darley gallopers, headlined by Champollion.

The Group 3 Schweppervescence Trophy (1600m) for the fillies and mares, the Group 3 Thoroughbred Breeders Stakes (1200m) for the two-year-old fillies, the Listed MSS Security Stakes (1100m) and the Listed Super Saturday Stakes (1400m) form the remaining support card for the two $1 million Group 1 features.

As well as being the feature races on the Super Saturday card, the Lexus Newmarket Handicap (1200m) and the Darley Australian Cup also represent the final leg of the respective G1 sprinters and middle distance Championships.

While none of Saturday's runners will take home the $1 million TAB bonus for winning all three legs of each series, a number remain in contention for the $50,000 international travel subsidy earned for cumulating the most points across the three legs.
