In an intriguing move by the normally conservative New Zealand TAB, Triple Trio betting will be introduced there this Saturday. The NZ TAB has guaranteed a $1 million pool for the first day of the Triple Trio – a form of betting that has been incredibly popular in Hong Kong for many years, reports Racing Network.
The pools and payouts are huge in that jurisdiction. Punters need to select the first three across the line, in any order, for the three designated races of the TT.
The NZ TAB has promoted the bet-type as potentially “life changing”. If no-one wins the TT on any given day, the entire pool jackpots to the next meeting, creating potentially massive pools and obviously massive interest.
At this stage the NZ TAB plans on staging the Triple Trio every Saturday.
