Paul Snowden, foreman for his father Peter, says the week's delay to the running of the Australian Guineas had not posed any problems for the hot favourite Denman.

''If anything it has been a blessing. A bit more work and a bit more confidence. He's already fit so we just have to hold him where he is,'' Snowden said.

When asked whether he expected Denman to win, Snowden didn't waste any words. ''Definitely,'' was all he needed to say.

Flemington track manager Mick Goodie said despite the soaking the track has received this week it would be in perfect order tomorrow. ''It's a dead 5 at the moment but I expect by race morning, at worst, it would be a dead 4,'' Goodie said.
