Seymour trainer David Bourne insists promising three-year-old Zamorar has nothing to lose taking on crack colt Sepoy in the Group One Coolmore Stud Stakes at Flemington.

Zamorar has won two of his three starts and Bourne said that while he under no illusions he is prepared to give the gelding his chance against the champion three-year-old in Saturday's 1200-metre sprint.

"I suppose it is the old story you never run from one horse and we have nothing to lose," Bourne said.

"We all go into the race hoping and don't see much downside in running."

"My horse is well, he's on the climb, and it has fallen in front of him so we will send him around.

"We are under no illusions at all, but I will back my horse a bit.

"I think he is pretty smart."

Bourne bought Zamorar, who is by West Australian-based sire Scandal Keeper, for $11,000 as a weanling.

He burst on the scene running dual Group One-placed Hallowell Belle to a long neck on debut in a maiden on his home track in August and has won his last two starts in brilliant fashion at Bendigo and Moonee Valley.

Steven Arnold will ride him for the first time on Saturday.

Danny O'Brien-trained Adamantium, who finished third to Zamorar at Moonee Valley, and stablemate Shopaholic are also among the 12 entries for the Coolmore .

Adamantium and Shopaholic will have jumpouts at Flemington's Breakfast with the Stars against another Coolmore entry Foxwedge.

O'Brien has won the Coolmore twice, once with a $21 outsider Ferocity in 2005 and last year with Star Witness.

Sepoy will be among some of the later workers at Flemington on Tuesday.

He has won nine of his 10 starts and will be a dominant favourite after beating older horses at his last two runs in the Group One Manikato Stakes and the Group Two Caulfield Sprint.
