How Much My Love has the chance to cap off a great week in the city for country trainer Danny Williams.

The four-year-old lines up in the International Passport Day 26/12 Handicap (1550m) at Friday's Randwick twilight meeting on the Kensington track.

Fresh from celebrating the win of Commandare at Rosehill on Wednesday, Williams said his former stable star Wasted Emotions was set for a shock return to his Goulburn yard.

Williams thought Wasted Emotions had run his last race in Australia when he won at Randwick on November 28.

The seven-year-old was transferred to Tony Pike who is preparing him for New Zealand's rich summer sprints, the Railway Handicap at Ellerslie on New Year's Day and the Telegraph Handicap at Trentham on January 23.

"The owners have said they only want him to have the two runs over there and providing he comes back fine he'll be coming back to our stable," Williams said.

"It's great news for the stable, we thought that was it after the last start."

How Much My Love made a perfect return with a first-up win at his home track over 1400 metres on November 20 at his first run after a 20-week spell.

The gelding enjoyed a successful Queensland winter campaign, winning a 1600-metre race at the Sunshine Coast in May before a third to Gold Rating at Eagle Farm in June.

"He's continued to improve and later on is a horse that will appreciate a mile and a half (2400m), so he might find this a bit short on Friday," Williams said.

"We were over the moon with the way he came back. They went very hard in the race and that set it up for him.

"I'm expecting him to be hitting the line strongly."

How Much My Love has won three of his six starts and been placed twice.

Williams predicted a bright future for Commandare who defeated $2.2 million yearling purchase Metallurgical by three-quarters of a length over 1100 metres on Wednesday.

Three-year-old Commandare was having just his second start.

"He's got a big future and is still learning and has plenty of improvement in him," Williams said.

"We'll only give him a maximum two runs, maybe one, this prep and then see how he does after that."

Stablemate Shockwaves was an acceptor for the Soho Square Handicap (1800m) at Randwick.

But Williams said after drawing barrier 12 the Stravinsky gelding would instead race at Canberra over 2000 metres on Sunday.
