Cox Plate favourite Whobegotyou will be out to break a run of outs and maintain his unbeaten record at Moonee Valley when he runs in Saturday's Group Two Dato Tan Chin Nam Stakes.

The gelding has won his only three starts at the Valley including the Group Two Stutt Stakes (1600m) last September and the Group Two AAMI Vase (2040m) on Cox Plate Day last October.

However, last season's champion three-year-old award winner hasn't triumphed in eight starts since the AAMI Vase, running second five times and third once.

But trainer Mark Kavanagh is happy with the four-year-old who went down by a half-neck to Predatory Pricer when resuming in the Liston Stakes and by 1-1/4 lengths to Dato Tan Chin Nam rival Mic Mac in the Memsie Stakes, both over 1400m at Caulfield.

"Every time he goes out he's trying to win and favoured," Kavanagh said.

"He's a bit older now. His best runs have been over a mile (1600m) or better so we've got to wait and see.

"He has got a good record at the track."

Damien Oliver will ride Whobegotyou on Saturday while Steven King will be aboard stablemate Sea Battle in the same race.

Kavanagh also has good chances in the other two feature races with Cats Whisker to back up in the Group Two Stocks Stakes (1600m) and Here De Angels to contest the Group Three McEwen Stakes (1000m).

Now a six-year-old, Here De Angels has had two starts for Kavanagh for a second to Happy Glen in April and a third to First Command in the Heath Stakes on August 29, both over 1100m at Caulfield.

"He's around the mark. It's going to be a tempo-related race with the speed on and he'll sit back off them," Kavanagh said.

"It's going to be a pretty fast run race.

"It'll be interesting to see, he's run good races for me each time."

Kavanagh has engaged Stephen Baster for the former barrier rogue who won the 2007 McEwen when trained by Lee Freedman.

"He seems to be behaving himself now. We've dropped the hood (blinkers) on him and he's got the ear muffs and the nose roll on and it seems to be working at this stage," Kavanagh said.

Kavanagh reported Cats Whisker, who will again be ridden by King, had done well since her victory in the Let's Elope Stakes (1400m) at Flemington last Saturday.

"That was always the plan, to back her up in this race just like we did with Devil Moon a couple of years ago," he said.

Devil Moon won both races in 2007 before going on to win the Group One Turnbull Stakes (2000m) at Flemington.
