GERALD MOSSE (Americain, 1ST): "I will not say it was easy but it's always easy when we win. I travel from the beginning with such a nice horse underneath me and following one of the best horses in the race (So You Think). He's an easy horse to ride. He moved good. When we win it's always good but definitely I cannot explain the way I feel."

LUKE NOLAN (Maluckyday, 2ND): "The physical quality of the winner, he was just further advanced than my bloke, but you'll probably see this horse winning it next year."

STEVEN ARNOLD (So You Think, 3RD): "I thought he did a mighty job. They just stop-started a little bit in the run which didn't help us and he travelled a bit strong through the first half. He tracked nicely into the race on the corner but the winner was too strong. Turning in I thought I had it. I let go but he compounded the last furlong (200m). He'd just had enough. I wouldn't take anything from the winner."

NICHOLAS HALL (Zipping, 4TH): "A massive run. I'll have to watch the replay to tell you any more but he ran good."

BRAD RAWILLER (Harris Tweed, 5TH): "Ran fantastic. It wasn't our plan to race where we did but we got into a good rhythm and I was happy with our run. He was as game as ever."

FRANKIE DETTORI (Holberg, 6TH): "He would have been better on a dry track. He would have finished in the (first) three. It was too wet."

DAMIEN OLIVER (Manighar, 7TH): "I followed Americain into the race but when he took off at the top of the straight he left me, he put about four lengths on me, but the horse ran really well. Next year he'll be a lot stronger and a more mature horse."

JAMES WINKS (Precedence, 8TH): "He ran well but it was too stop-start for him and he just sort of struggled to find a rhythm. I dare say he could have run the quickest last furlong so maybe next year."

GLEN BOSS (Illustrious Blue, 9TH): "He had every opportunity and probably had the best run in the race but he prefers good to dead ground."

DARREN BEADMAN (Mr Medici, 10TH): "The tempo was moderate and I had to keep him going in the first five or six. He had a nice run and chimed in like he was going to do something but didn't stay the distance."

JIM CASSIDY (Once Were Wild, 11TH): "She ran well and tried hard. She'll probably be a bit stronger next year."

SHINJI FUJITA (Tokai Trick, 12TH): "The track conditions were not really suitable."

COREY BROWN (Shoot Out, 13TH): "He just didn't stay."

CRAIG WILLIAMS (Monaco Consul, 14TH): "We were in a great position going out of the straight and then he got forced back to the inside where he's not comfortable. He's pulled up pretty distressed after the run."

VLAD DURIC (Master O'Reilly, 15TH): "He got shuffled back but felt flat."

KERRIN MCEVOY (Campanologist, 16TH): "We travelled nicely behind the winner and I came out to make my run but he really didn't handle the going. He's better on top of the ground."

PATRICK SMULLEN (Profound Beauty, 17TH): "She got too far back and never fired."

MICHAEL RODD (Shocking, 18TH): "The tempo was too steady and I had to go back to last. He ripped a plate off round the back and didn't really recover from that and has pulled up a bit lame."

MARK DU PLESSIS (Red Ruler, 19TH): "He raced inside the winner but didn't stay."

STEVEN KING (Buccellati, 20TH): "No good in the going. He actually travelled into the race well but couldn't handle it when the crunch came."

BRETT PREBBLE (Linton, 21ST): "He hung out quite bad all the way and wasn't comfortable in the going at all. He slipped quite badly on the home turn and lost his action and lost his confidence and I just sat up on him."

MICHAEL WALKER (Zavite, LAST): "We had the one-one on a slow speed and had every chance. He didn't pull up all that flash."

NASH RAWILLER (Descarado, FAILED TO FINISH): "It felt like something got on my back just before we straightened. He pulled up a bit iffy and felt like he was going to drop dead at the furlong. I just hope he's alright. He travelled well before that."
