Reigning Epsom Handicap favourite O'Lonhro has received 52kg for the Group One Randwick feature following the release of weights on Monday.

The last-start Chelmsford Stakes winner, who heads Epsom betting at $5.50 with TAB Sportsbet, has been nominated for the Shannon Stakes (1500m) at Rosehill on Saturday along with $6.50 second elect Rangirangdoo who also received 52kg for next month's 1600m race.

Four-time Group One winner Tuesday Joy and Doncaster Mile winner Vision And Power have equal topweight of 58kg in the Epsom and while Tuesday Joy won't be there Vision And Power is also unlikely.

Tuesday Joy has been retired while Vision And Power is expected to bypass the Epsom and head to Melbourne for a Cox Plate campaign.

That leaves Stradbroke Handicap winner Black Piranha to wear the number one saddlecloth with 57kg, 1.5kg more than Mentality.

Tuesday Joy also received topweight of 58kg for the Metropolitan Handicap (2400m), two kilos more than BMW winner Fiumicino.

It means weights will have to be raised at least a kilo under the rules which require a minimum topweight of 57kg for Group One races.

Lee Freedman-trained import Speed Gifted is a clear early pick for the Metropolitan at $4.60 and received 52kg for the October 3 feature.

Saturday's impressive Kingston Town Stakes winner Ready To Lift ($12) was given 52.5kg, half a kilo more than Voice Coach ($11) who finished runner-up to her at Rosehill.

Trainer Gerald Ryan was pleased with Ready To Lift's weight.

"I expected her to get two kilos more," Ryan said.

"I'm pretty happy with that and I'm pretty happy with her and how she has come through the race."

Sydney Cup winner Ista Kareem has 55kg while AJC Australian Derby winner Roman Emperor has been asked to carry 53.5kg.
