Trainer Joe Pride is happy with Vision And Power ahead of Saturday's Listed Parramatta Cup at Rosehill but not so happy with the handicapper.

Pride is angry the in-form six-year-old has been given the topweight of 59kg for the 2000 metre race where Enzedex Eagle and Amen are the closest to him with 53.5kg.

"He carried 58.5kg in an open handicap last start and I would assume that an open handicap is at least two kilos worse than a Listed race and I thought at worst he'd get 58.

"I've spoken to the handicapper and he's got his opinion and I've got mine.

"But nobody can justify to me letting bad horses beat good horses via weight is good handicapping.

"If horses run out of their grade, they don't deserve to get that much weight on us."

Vision And Power has won three of his past four starts including his most recent at Rosehill where he edged out King's First (51.5kg) by a half head with Enzedex Eagle (54.5kg) three-quarters of a length away third.

The Bart Cummings-trainer King's First, who has not won since July last year, will carry the limit of 53kg in the Parramatta Cup.

Racing NSW senior handicapper Brett Scelly said Vision And Power was the only horse bringing any "real credentials" into the race.

"He won an open handicap race that was arguably stronger carrying 58.5 kilos and adding an extra half a kilo is not a huge ask for the horse," Scelly said

"I know 59 (kg) is considered a big weight but given he is the only horse in the race going into it with real credentials, it's not a huge weight."

Pride said that while he deemed the weight unfair he did not believe it would be enough to stop Vision And Power.

"He'll run a very good race," Pride said.

Pride rates stablemate Judged good value at $16 on TAB Sportsbet for the Listed Triscay Stakes (1200m).

Judged won the Group Three double of the Research Stakes (1200m) and Bill Ritchie Stakes (1400m) last year.

The mare has not raced since her fifth to Theseo in the Epsom Handicap (1600m) in October.

"She's going to run a good race at big odds," Pride said.

"Her work has been very nice and her two trials have also been pleasing, she's ready for this."
