Sydney's premier jockey and trainer, who rarely join forces, will be looking to cap a successful week together at Randwick on Saturday.

Trainer Gai Waterhouse has called on the services of Hugh Bowman with her stable riders Nash Rawiller and Blake Shinn both riding at the Gold Coast.

Limited opportunities at the rich Magic Millions meeting at the Gold Coast have resulted in Bowman staying in Sydney.

Bowman has a couple of strong rides for Waterhouse with last-start winners Kinnersley and Judicial in action.

In a rare ride for Waterhouse, Bowman steered Modonna to a slashing frontrunning win at Randwick on the Kensington track on Wednesday.

It was a pick-up ride for Bowman when Shinn was unable to ride because of a wrist injury.

Modonna's victory gave Bowman a winning treble at Randwick, moving him to 30 wins for the season, four behind premiership leader Corey Brown.

"There wasn't much up there (Gold Coast) for me so I'm happy just to stay here," Bowman said.

"Things are going along nicely here and hopefully I can ride a few winners Saturday."

Judicial lines up in the Mahogany Handicap (1200m) after scoring impressively at Canterbury on December 23 over 1250 metres.

Ridden by Rawiller, Judicial was given a soft run in third spot on the fence for most of the race before peeling out on the turn.

The Not A Single Doubt three-year-old was wayward in the closing stages but proved too classy, going on to defeat Prince Of Hearts by three-quarters of a length.

Judicial was racing first-up from an 18-week spell and has won two of his three starts.

He won as a two-year-old at Gosford before bucking at the start of the Group Three Up And Coming Stakes last August when eighth to Rarefied.

Three-year-old Kinnersley was an impressive winner on New Year's Day at Randwick and lines up in the Naturalism Handicap (1600m).

Kinnersley overcame the widest barrier, 14, to slot into a nice spot and race better than midfield with Shinn aboard.

The Al Maher gelding soon put paid to his rivals in the straight and extended nicely to defeat We Sing We Dance by three lengths over 1800 metres.

One of Bowman's winners on Wednesday at Randwick was the Tim Martin-trained Just A Touch and on Saturday he rides stablemate Spot The Rock.

The two-year-old is making his debut in the Autumn Carnival Package On Sale Now Handicap (1000m).

Spot The Rock was third to Technicolour in a 900-metre barrier trial at Rosehill on Tuesday.

Bowman also partners the Kris Lees-trained Visa Lisa in the Octagonal Handicap (1200m).

She is coming off a seventh to Alverta in the Listed Just Now Quality (1300m) at Eagle Farm in December.

The hoop finishes the day aboard the Stephen Farley-trained Ourbillydakid in the Big6 Jackpot Today Handicap (1100m).

The five-year-old is racing first-up after a 18-week spell and has five wins and five placings from his 19 starts.

Bowman continued his top form on Thursday at Wyong where he booted home half of the winners on the eight-race card.
