Newly-crowned Horse of the Year Typhoon Tracy is set to take on Whobegotyou and Shoot Out in Saturday's Group Two Dato Tan Chin Nam Stakes at Moonee Valley.

The five-time Group One winner was also nominated for the Group Two WH Stocks Stakes (1600m) for mares, in which Faint Perfume and Valdemoro will run.

"It still has to be confirmed by the boss, but he is strongly leaning towards running her in the Dato (1600m)," Peter Moody's stable manager Jeff O'Connor said.

The outstanding mare led and ran fourth, beaten 1-3/4 lengths, behind So You Think, Whobegotyou and Shoot Out when resuming in the Memsie Stakes (1400m) at Caulfield last Saturday week.

Cox Plate favourite So You Think and Queensland star Shoot Out were among the horses to work at a wet Moonee Valley on Tuesday morning.

So You Think will miss Saturday's meeting, being saved instead for the Group One Underwood Stakes (1800m) at Caulfield on Saturday week.

Race rider Steven Arnold took him through his paces and said he had improved since his first-up win in the Memsie.

"It was pretty wet out there but he's come on since his run," Arnold said.

"He feels great in his action, he wasn't out to set any records and he's really well in himself."

John Wallace took dual Group One winner Shoot Out to the Valley for the first time on Tuesday and he went through his paces with regular track rider Dan Wheeler in the saddle.

"He only had a look at the track. He wasn't out to do much, he only went pacework. I only wanted him to have a look at the place," Wallace said.

"He was supposed to go 1200 (metres) in evens but he didn't even do that really.

"He went stronger up the running but he didn't do anything wrong. He was on his own, he'll be right once he's chasing something."
