Striking filly The Opera House will make her race debut in the coming weeks after posting another solid barrier trial win.

While the rare, pure white two-year-old has attracted headlines since she was sold to high profile owner John Singleton at last year's Magic Millions sale, The Opera House also appears to have her share of ability.

By renowned sire of stayers Zabeel, she is a three-quarter sister to champion Might And Power and has now won both her barrier trials to date, backing up her victory at Newcastle earlier this month with another at Gosford on Monday.

"She won her trial again, not by a big margin but it was an encouraging effort at this stage," trainer Kris Lees said.

"She puts herself in the race, it's a bit surprising given she's a Zabeel but they're all individuals.

"The next week will probably tell us where we go with her but all being well, I'd say she'll go to the races in the next few weeks."

Despite her profile, The Opera House is likely to make a low-key debut with Lees favouring kicking off her career at a provincial track, rather than in town.

Either way, the excitement of race day is unlikely to faze her.

"She's been so popular and shown around so much that nothing worries her. She has a very good temperament," Lees said.

Stakes winner and stablemate Fritz's Princess also won her trial at Gosford and is headed towards the Group Three Missile Stakes (1100m) at Rosehill on August 1.

Lees says the mare has returned in good order but whether she races on this spring or is retired to the broodmare barn will depend on her form.

"We will take it a run at a time with her," Lees said.

"It's (breeding season) still six weeks away so we'll give her one or two runs and see how she's come up before making a decision."

Lees' stable has been in great form lately with Zingaling and Catacaos giving him a double at Warwick Farm last Tuesday while Beyonce's Star was successful at Rosehill four days later.

He is hoping for more of the same at Randwick this Saturday with Pins On Parade nominated for a 1300m Open Handicap and mares Ugly Betty and Visa Lisa entered for a fillies and mares 1200m race.

Pins On Parade was sent out favourite last start but cost himself any chance of winning when he raced greenly, eventually finishing fifth to Teasing.

"He probably cost himself the race," Lees said.

"We've made a couple of little changes for this week.

"We're experimenting with a few things and he may wear a tongue tie."

Corey Brown was aboard first-up and has again been booked to ride Pins On Parade who has two wins from three second-up runs.
