The Black Caviar show rolls into town on Saturday with trainer Peter Moody leaving no stone unturned for the mare's Sydney debut.

Moody reckons Black Caviar has all the bases covered even though the TJ Smith Stakes will be her first race away from Victoria, her first in the right-handed direction and possibly her first on a wet track.

Sydney's weather seems to be a lottery with Randwick rated a slow (6) on Wednesday with more showers forecast as well as longer sunny periods leading into the weekend.

Black Caviar was put up at $1.24 by TAB Sportsbet to win the TJ Smith (1200m) after Wednesday's final declarations.

She will have 10 rivals and has drawn barrier five in her bid to take her unbeaten record to 12.

"She is in great shape, she came out of the William Reid better than the Newmarket," Moody said.

"A couple of days after the Newmarket I thought it might be the end of her campaign.

"For the first time ever she really felt that run but within two days she turned it around.

"We have upped her workload to get her ready for this race.

"I have no fears about a wet track, she won a barrier trial at Cranbourne on a heavy ten.

"As for going right-handed, all our horses are broken in and pre-trained at Albury so it's second nature to go this way.

"When I get them to Melbourne I have to teach them to go the other way."

Moody said she would travel to Sydney overnight on Thursday with his other runners at Randwick on Saturday, including Derby contender Anacheeva.

"She has travelled extensively around Victoria so I don't think it will be a problem," he said.

"I'm always respectful of the opposition and I'm also aware things can go wrong.

"But I think she has them covered."

The field is arguably the best Black Caviar has met so far in her 11-start career, with another eight Group One winners in the line-up.

They include Hay List, runner-up to Black Caviar in the Lightning Stakes, and Crystal Lily who has finished second to the mare at her past two starts in the Newmarket Handicap and William Reid Stakes.

Shoot Out, who is returning to Randwick on the anniversary of his finest moment when victorious in the AJC Australian Derby, is on the second line of betting at $13 alongside Hay List while Crystal Lily is a $17 chance.
