Queensland Racing stewards will await the results of further tests before allowing second favourite Ortensia to start in next week's Group One Stradbroke Handicap at Eagle Farm.

Ortensia could be stripped of her Group One Galaxy win at Randwick in April after returning a positive swab to a banned substance.

Racing NSW stewards have yet to name the substance found in Ortensia's sample.

They have obtained records from trainer Tony Noonan regarding his feeding and supplement regime and have elected not to disclose the prohibited substance.

Queensland stewards spoke to Noonan by telephone on Saturday and ordered urine samples to be taken from Ortensia.

Chief steward Wade Birch ordered pre-race urine samples also be taken from stablemates Zevada and Be Positive before they were allowed to race at Eagle Farm on Saturday.

Zevada won the Mitty's Plate (1800m) while Be Positive ran last in the Group Two Dane Ripper Stakes (1400m) won by Melbourne filly Set For Fame.

"We've only taken blood samples from her (Ortensia) in her two starts here before the BTC Cup and Doomben 10,000 and both were negative," Birch said.

"We've ordered a further urine sample be taken from her today and once we know the result we'll be in a better position to know what next to do.

"It (the sample) has to be clean for Ortensia to start in the Stradbroke."

Ortensia started favourite when she finished fifth in the BTC Cup (1200m) won by Albert The Fat on May 15 before her eighth to Hot Danish in last week's Group One Doomben 10,000 (1350m).
