Trainer Paul Murray is keen to steer outstanding filly Phenomenal Lass away from the $3.5 million Golden Slipper in April.
The unbeaten Country Reel youngster returned to work on Wednesday after a freshen-up and will have her next start in the Widden Stakes (1100m) at Randwick on February 14.
"I'll be having a meeting with the owners to discuss what I've mapped out for her but I don't want them to waste the $180,000 paying up for the Golden Slipper," Murray said.
"There are plenty of races for her and what she does in the Widden will provide us with a clearer idea but I'm not keen on her running in the Slipper."
Col Tidy's Betchoice opened its Golden Slipper market on Friday and Phenomenal Lass was a $26 chance.
"She was going well before she went out and she's come back again in terrific order and her work straight away was on the mark," Murray said.
On debut at Randwick on November 22, Phenomenal Lass started at $41 and wasn't expected to trouble the $1.90 favourite Power Personified.
While the popular elect failed to run a place, Phenomenal Lass flew home from the near the back of the field to score a slashing 1-1/2 length win over Shellscrape.
Phenomenal Lass followed it up with a 2-1/4 length win over Shellscrape at Rosehill on December 6.
Meanwhile, classy stablemate Predatory Pricer will make his return in the Group Two Hobartville Stakes (1400m) at Rosehill on February 28.
Predatory Pricer, a half-brother to international sprint champion Takeover Target has not raced since his gallant second to Sousa on a slow track at Randwick in the Group One Spring Champion Stakes (2000m) in October last year.
"He's been in a month and will spot-on for the Hobartville," Murray said.
"He was a little bit jaded after his last prep, that run in the wet in the Spring Champion took it out of him but he got over it a couple of days later and he's spelled really well."
Prior to his run in the Spring Champion, Predatory Pricer won the Group Three Gloaming Stakes (1800m) and Listed Ming Dynasty (1400m).
He will aimed towards the AJC Australian Derby (2400m) on April 11.
