Sincero is easily the most popular horse in Stradbroke Handicap betting despite the release of weights confirming he will have to make a back door entry into the famous Group One sprint.

The three-year-old received 49.5kg, the limit weight for his age, when handicaps for the $1 million race were announced on Monday.

"We've held more money for Sincero than any other horse," a TAB Sportsbet spokesman said.

"Most of the action has been around the $6 and $7 mark but there has been interest in him today at $4.20."

Because he is 41st in the first order of entry, Sincero almost certainly needs to win a ballot exempt race to make the Stradbroke field and trainer Stephen Farley said he would target the QTC Cup (1300m) a week beforehand on June 4 as the galloper's make-or-break race.

Considered a genuine rising star, Sincero improved his winning sequence to six - and to eight overall - with a hollow Inglis 3YO Guineas victory at Scone on Saturday when ridden by Chris O'Brien.

Glen Boss will take over for Sincero's Queensland campaign because O'Brien struggles to ride below 55kg.

In all likelihood, Sincero will be asked to re-write the history books in Brisbane because The QTC Cup-Stradbroke double has been an elusive one.

Champion mare Black Caviar was given 60.5kg topweight for the Stradbroke, 3kg more than her closest racetrack challenger Hay List.

But since she her win in the BTC Cup on Saturday, Peter Moody has all but ruled Black Caviar out of the race.

Acting on media reports, TAB Sportsbet has withdrawn Black Caviar from pre-post Stradbroke betting.

"We have taken her out of the market to protect punters," the TAB spokesman said.

"If we get punters ringing up asking for a price (for her to win the Stradbroke) we can easily re-instate her."

Black Piranha, chasing three successive Stradbroke wins, has been given 56kg - a half kilogram more than he carried to a photo victory in 2010.

The 2007 winner Sniper's Bullet has been asked to carry 55kg.

Buffering, the Brisbane-trained three-year-old who finished third to Black Caviar and Hay List in the BTC Cup has 51kg.

Doncaster Mile placegetters Love Conquers All (53.5kg) and Bold Glance (52kg) share the third line of Stradbroke betting at $12 while Black Piranha is a $26 chance.
