Glyn Schofield will be the new rider of Golden Slipper hopeful Elimbari when she goes head-to-head with boom filly Solar Charged in Saturday's Kindergarten Stakes.

Hugh Bowman partnered Elimbari to her debut win at Rosehill in January but opted to jump aboard Solar Charged in the Kindergarten when her jockey Corey Brown accepted an invitation to ride in Dubai on Saturday.

Lees and Bowman enjoyed great success together through the deeds of champion filly Samantha Miss but Lees would not guarantee Bowman would be back aboard Elimbari after the Warwick Farm race.

While Schofield has only been booked for the Kindergarten, Lees will keep an open mind about whether he retains the autumn mount.

"He's a chance, we'll just take it a race at a time," Lees said.

"Hugh had the option so he must have a high opinion of Solar Charged."

A three-quarter sister to 2008 Silver Slipper winner Amelia's Dream, Elimbari was considered for a Blue Diamond Stakes campaign after her narrow first-up win.

But Lees decided to bypass the Victorian Group One to concentrate on the Golden Slipper and he was glad he did.

"I thought about it but she had a hard run first-up and it took a bit out of her so it was the right decision not to go down there," Lees said.

"She had a little freshen up and she galloped between races (at Newcastle) a fortnight ago.

"The 1100 metres around Warwick Farm is a nice starting off point for her.

"There seem to be a couple of speedsters in the race so it should be interesting."

Lees said Elimbari had strengthened since her first start and admitted there were some parallels between her and Samantha Miss at the same stages of their careers.

"As two-year-olds they are comparable in some ways I guess but Samantha Miss was always going to be a better three-year-old," Lees said.

There are 18 nominations for the Group Three Kindergarten, eight of them from the Gai Waterhouse stable.

They include Al Aseel, a son of Waterhouse's former top mare Shamekha, Wyong Slipper winner Brightexpectations, More Strawberries from the family of Group One winner All American and another well-related youngster in Fit And Ready, a half-sister to 1999 Golden Slipper winner Catbird.

Chance Bye remains favourite for the juvenile showpiece at $6 following her Silver Slipper win, ahead of Blue Diamond runner-up Beneteau ($7) with Solar Charged at $8 and Elimbari a $15 chance.
