Clarry Conners knows what it takes to win the Golden Slipper and believes he has the complete package in Satin Shoes.

The Warwick Farm trainer has four Slipper trophies and is taking aim a fifth with the unbeaten Satin Shoes to continue her charge in Saturday's Silver Slipper Stakes (1100m) at Rosehill.

Hugh Bowman, who rode Satin Shoes to win the Widden Stakes on February 12, maintains his association with the filly who also won on debut in October.

Although he hopes to have more than one runner in the big race on April 2, Satin Shoes has already proved herself and is third favourite for the Golden Slipper behind Sepoy and Karuta Queen.

Sepoy is running in Saturday's Blue Diamond Stakes but Conners is happy to stay at home.

"She's definitely running in the Silver Slipper and has come along well since the Widden," Conners said.

"Hugh Bowman takes the ride and I think she will improve on her first-up run."

There were 16 entries taken for the Silver Slipper with the winner gaining automatic entry to the Golden Slipper.

onners came within a half length of claiming his fifth Golden Slipper in 2010 when Decision Time ran second to Crystal Lily.

Wins in the Heritage Stakes and Stan Fox in the spring had Decision Time on target for the Caulfield Guineas.

But joy over his Stan Fox win was short-lived when he came back to the enclosure bleeding from both nostrils, incurring an automatic three-month ban.

That has been served and the gelding will be back at Rosehill on Saturday to run in the Fireball Quality (1100m) after pleasing Conners in February 7 barrier trial.

"He's terrific," he said.

"There is no sign of any problem. He was treated during his time off and seems as well as ever now."

Brenton Avdulla, who won Saturday's Apollo Stakes on Melito, has snared the ride on Decision Time.

The 11 entries for the Fireball include Black Caviar's little brother Moshe who is trained by John Hawkes in partnership with his sons Michael and Wayne.

Moshe has won his only two starts in Melbourne while Black Caviar stamped her authority on Saturday's Lightning Stakes.

Recent Light Fingers Stakes winner Obsequious is also among the Fireball entries along with his Peter Snowden-trained stablemate Celts.
