Oaks-bound filly Run For Naara will revert to fillies company in Saturday's Group One Vinery Stud Storm Queen Stakes after proving her class against the boys in both the Randwick and Rosehill Guineas.

The John Thompson-trained filly will form part of a three-pronged attack for Patinack Farm in the 2000m Rosehill feature with Australasian Oaks winner Small Minds and No Evidence Needed returning to Sydney to take their places.

Thompson rated Run For Naara as the pick of his trio.

"She's the quality horse of the three but you can never count the other two out because they put so much into their races, they give 110 per cent," Thompson said.

Run For Naara finished fifth to Shoot Out in the Group One Randwick Guineas (1600m) second-up and was third in last weekend's Rosehill Guineas (2000m) won by Zabrasive.

"She has pulled up super (from the Rosehill Guineas)," Thompson said.

"We're very happy with her, her run was good in the Rosehill Guineas and that will top her off nicely.

"We got thrown out of sorts with the wet weather early in the preparation, she's not real good on the wet, but we're back to the fillies grade now and we'll stick with it."

The weather has again been unkind to Run For Naara who is set to face a rain-affected Rosehill track on Saturday.

But Thompson was pleased with her placing behind Zabrasive and Rock Classic last weekend and said while she got outsprinted, the best part of her race was the final 100m.

"She's a 2000 metres-plus filly. A really good stayer," he said.

Small Minds surprised plenty of people by taking out the Group One Australasian Oaks (2000m) after claiming the Adelaide Guineas at huge odds the start before.

No Evidence Needed finished second to her stablemate in the Oaks last start.

"They've been in Adelaide but she (Small Minds) has been going good and you can't knock her," Thompson said.

"She's always been an honest filly but there's no doubt she's gone to another level this preparation."

The stable will also be represented by three runners in the Group Two Tulloch Stakes (2000m) with Gathering to back up after finishing fifth in the Rosehill Guineas last week.

"We've just been struggling to get him fit, he's a big gross colt but that hard run on Saturday has done him well again, he hasn't left an oat," Thompson said.

Count Encosta, who has won his past two starts in midweek company, and Shamardashing join Gathering in a race that should prove a good guide to the AJC Australian Derby.
