Princess Pulse looks almost certain to head to Brisbane and join a group of winter carnival contenders for trainer Michael Moroney after she thumped her rivals in Saturday's Group Three Auraria Stakes at Morphettville.
In a powerful frontrunning display Princess Pulse didn't give her rivals a look in, cruising home to win.
Rider Glen Boss said he had no hesitation in sending the three-year-old filly to the front.
"She won her maiden leading like that," Boss said. "There didn't appear to be much pace on paper in this race.
"She didn't go that quick in front. She was able to roll along at a good speed.
"It was a great win. She just brained them."
Princess Pulse ($8), despite being eased down near the line, still had a 3-1/4-length margin over Bronislava ($8).
The well-backed roughie Calm Customer, who firmed from $61 to $41, was a short head away third.
Moroney, who watched the race from the Gold Coast where he trained the opening race winner Prix Du Sang, decided to send Princess Pulse to Adelaide after her eye-catching come from behind second at Sandown last start.
Two runs earlier she led and held off her rivals for a maiden win at Ballarat.
When asked whether Princess Pulse was worthy of joining her Moroney stablemates in Brisbane for a Queensland Oaks campaign, Boss was extremely positive.
"Why not," Boss answered. "She's flying and Mike Moroney's flying."
Princess Pulse, by Sadler's Wells' champion son King Of Kings, is one of four winners from the stakes-performed Vice Regal mare Surprize Offer.
A half-sister to four time stakeswinner Shanamann, Surprize Offer won three races up to 1400 metres.
