Mick Price says classy mare Dubleanny will have no excuses when she chases her first Group One success in the Sportingbet Classic at Morphettville.
"I can't have her any better," the Caulfield trainer said.
"She is spot-on."
Price, who won the feature with Bel Mer in 2009 and last year finished second with Velocitea, said Dubleanny's preparation had been perfect and had gone to plan for Saturday.
"Last preparation to this preparation we wanted to give her one run to get her fit and then give her three weeks into the Adelaide race and that is what she has got," Price said.
"It is a fillies and mares Group One over 1200 metres and she is beautifully suited."
Dubleanny has won six of her 11 starts and only missed a place twice.
She won the Listed Creswick Stakes (1200m) at Flemington in June and last spring was Group Two-placed when second to Set For Fame in the Caulfield Sprint (1100m).
Jockey Craig Newitt has long sung Dubleanny's praises and will ride her in the Sportingbet Classic after scoring on her first-up in the Mrs Mac's Beef Pie Sprint (1100m) at Flemington March 5.
Price said he was more confident about Dubleanny than Bel Mer who he had some doubts about over the 1200m two years ago.
"I'll be disappointed if she is not right in the money," Price said.
Meanwhile, fellow Caulfield trainer Peter Moody is keen on the chances of stablemates Avenue and Panipique.
He said Avenue had thrived since her last-start win in Adelaide's Group Three Irwin Stakes (1100m) after finishing second to Eagle Falls in the Oakleigh Plate.
He said this campaign Avenue was more settled and relaxed and it was showing in how she raced.
"Three runs this time in she hasn't led in any of them and been happy to sit outside and finish the race off," Moody said.
Panipique will run in the Sportingbet Classic after being scratched from a clash with her champion stablemate Black Caviar in Friday night's William Reid Stakes (1200m) at Moonee Valley.
A last-start winner of the Listed MSS Security Stakes (1100m) at Flemington on March 12, Panipique would have finished closer than ninth in the Oakleigh Plate with a better draw than barrier 15.
"I like both my runners and they get their first genuine chance at winning a Group One," Moody said.
Moody is also keen on the chances of unbeaten filly Lights Of Heaven in the Group One Australasian Oaks (2000m).
"She is a little gem," Moody said of the three-year-old who has recorded wins at Cranbourne, Sandown and in the Group Two Moonee Valley Classic (1600m) at her only three starts.
He said that tactically she was foolproof but he is mindful of the task of trying to win a Group One race at only her fourth start.
"She can lead or come from last depending on how the race pans out," Moody said.
"I would love her to be a bit more seasoned but she can only do what she has done and she has gone over there in good shape and in good form."
