Blue Diamond Stakes winner Samaready has displaced Raceway as favourite for the $3.5 million Golden Slipper following her brilliant win in Victoria's premier two-year-old race.

But Raceway's trainer Gai Waterhouse has more ammunition than most being aimed at the Group One race on April 7, among them Pierro who is set to make his first autumn appearance in Saturday's Silver Slipper at Rosehill.

After Pierro made a winning debut in the Breeders' Plate in October, Waterhouse declared racegoers had just seen the Golden Slipper winner.

Since then Waterhouse has produced another nine individual juvenile winners as well as capturing the Magic Millions Classic quinella with Driefontein and No Looking Back.

Raceway and Driefontein both won at Warwick Farm on February 18 while No Looking Back ran a gallant second in the Blue Diamond.

Samaready's trainer Mick Price said the filly had pulled up well from Saturday's win and was likely to have one start before the Slipper in the Reisling Stakes on March 24.

"I'm confident she will train on," Price said.

"We'll have another look at her on Wednesday."

TAB Sportsbet has elevated Samaready to $4.80 with Raceway $6.50 ahead of No Looking Back ($9) and Pierro and Driefontein ($13).

The Gerald Ryan-trained Snitzerland is in a group on $17 with the filly scheduled to have her next run in Melbourne.

Snitzerland lived up to punters' expectations when she took out the Inglis Premier race at Mornington last Wednesday week but Ryan is not putting any Slipper hype on her yet.

"Her next run will be in the Thoroughbred Breeders race at Flemington on March 10," Ryan said.

"We'll look at things after that."

Ryan trained the filly's sire Snitzel to win the 2006 Oakleigh Plate and makes no secret of his affinity for his progeny which include another of his juvenile winners this season, Flying Snitzel, a $101 chance in the Slipper.

Stablemate Cavalry Rose is at $26 following her two unbeaten runs which she will try to extend in the Black Opal Stakes at Canberra in two weeks.

"Cavalry Rose is doing all the right things and will go to the Black Opal," Ryans said.

"Flying Snitzel will go to the Sweet Embrace Stakes next month and then we'll see from there."
