Melbourne filly Ortensia's win in the Glenlogan Park Stud Stakes has propelled her to second favouritism behind Apache Cat for the Doomben 10,000.

But while the Tony Noonan-trained three-year-old was impressive against her own sex on Saturday, trainer Anthony Cummings was bemused at BTC Cup winner Duporth being rated a $12 chance with TAB Sportsbet which has Ortensia at $6.50.

"Winning form is the best form as far as I'm concerned," Cummings said.

"I don't know why he is that price."

Duporth beat Bank Robber and Apache Cat in a close finish to claim his first Group One victory in the BTC Cup (1200m) on May 9.

The Gai Waterhouse-trained Bank Robber, who went down by a half head, is on the third line of betting at $8 alongside Danleigh with All Silent at $10.

"I think Duporth will be suited by the extra distance of the 10,000," Cummings said.

Cummings will rely on Duporth in the 1350 metre feature with Solo Flyer to be saved for the Stradbroke Handicap (1400m) on June 6.

Solo Flyer ran second to Rampant Lion in Saturday's Lord Mayor's Cup (1615m).

"I think the three weeks off until the Stradbroke will be to his advantage," Cummings said.

Comeback galloper Court Command has been given a half kilogram penalty for the Stradbroke following his victory in Saturday's BTC Sprint.

The penalty takes him to 52kg in the Stradbroke and 31st in the order of entry.

He is alongside Duporth in betting for the 10,000 and is at $13 for the Stradbroke.

Court Command won the 2006 $1 million Golden Rose and ran third in the Caulfield Guineas that spring.

He was retired to stud and served a full book of mares before the decision to give him a winter campaign.

Trainer Liam Birchley does not yet have a jockey for the 10,000 with Saturday's victorious rider Michael Rodd committed elsewhere and Glen Colless fighting a careless riding suspension.

On Monday, Bank Robber was the $7 favourite for the Stradbroke ahead of Ortensia, Danleigh and All Silent at $9 and Duporth, Apache Cat and Black Piranha all at $11.

Cummings meanwhile, was happy with the performance of Queensland Oaks contender Nothin' Leica Cat who beat a small field of older horses at the Gold Coast on Saturday.

Nothin' Leica Cat, who ran fourth in the AJC Australian Oaks, was forced to run in the 2200m open handicap after missing a start in the Doomben Roses as first emergency.

"It was a small field but she beat them easily and I was pretty happy with that," Cummings said.
