The appeals by Ortensia's owners and also trainer Tony Noonan have been adjourned until November.

Ortensia was stripped of her win in April's Group One Galaxy at Randwick after a post-race urine sample found traces of ractopamine, a substance used in pigs to increase muscle fibre.

The mare's managing owner Alistair Fraser lodged an appeal against Ortensia's disqualification on behalf of the part-owners, while Noonan appealed against being found guilty of presenting the mare to race with a prohibited substance in her system.

Racing NSW did not impose a penalty on Noonan but he lodged his appeal against the guilty finding.

The appeals were heard on Friday and have been adjourned until November 24.
