Oopsy Doopsy's light weight has trainer Greg McFarlane confident the filly can back up and land a hat-trick of wins at Rosehill on Saturday.

The General Nediym three-year-old will be chasing three wins in as many weeks when she lines up in the Simplot Australia Foodservice Handicap (1500m).

Oopsy Doopsy caught punters by surprise when she scored over 1400 metres at Rosehill last Saturday at $31 but was at $6.70 in pre-post markets on Friday for her next assignment.

Temperatures of up to 43 degrees are forecast in Sydney's west and protocols to ensure the safety of horses and jockeys will be in place.

But McFarlane says the Rosehill-based horse is well prepared for the heat.

"She's right at home there, she only has to walk across from the track and they've got those nice spray demisters in the stalls," he said.

"And the light weight is only going to be in her favour particularly in the heat.

"Most fillies tend to struggle in the heat, but for her, with the light weight, we only expect her to travel well."

Leading apprentice Tommy Berry's two kilo claim will bring Oopsy Doopsy into the race with 51kg.

The filly carried just 51.5kg when ridden by Berry last start.

McFarlane said Berry rode her "faultlessly" last Saturday, staying just off the speed for most of the race.

It will be the first time Oopsy Doopsy has been tried over 1500 metres but McFarlane believes the distance won't be a problem.

"I'm not putting any limitations on her at the moment," he said.

"But I think she'll win between 1400 and 1800 metres, possibly even 2000."

The former international cyclist said after this Saturday, Oopsy Doopsy would be given a spell.

Oopsy Doopsy's winning run started at Wyong on January 7 where she defeated Votive by a half neck in the 1350 metre maiden.

Pre-race favourite Tallow, who had the topweight of 58kg was scratched on Friday.
