Onemorenomore's natural early speed will be utilised on Saturday with trainer Jason Coyle expecting the colt to race closer to the speed in the Group One Champagne Stakes at Randwick.
The Red Ransom juvenile comes into the 1600-metre final leg of the two-year-old triple crown after running fourth to Manhattan Rain in the second leg, the Sires' Produce Stakes (1400m), at Randwick last Saturday.
He came from near last at the turn to run four lengths behind the Gai Waterhouse-trained winner.
Punters believe the Champagne Stakes will be a race in two with Manhattan Rain the $2 favourite on TAB Sportsbet ahead of Sires runner-up Tickets at $2.60.
Onemorenomore, who is rated a $14 chance, has drawn barrier six of seven and will again be ridden by Patinack Farm's stable rider Peter Robl.
"He just exploded out of the barriers and that worked against him in the Sires because we wanted to get a tag behind something," Coyle said.
"Peter had to drag him back to get behind something and he ended up in an awkward spot but he did a great job to finish so strongly.
"Ever since we've had him he explodes out of the gates and over a mile on Saturday he won't be restrained and will be a lot closer than people think."
Two starts back Onemorenomore flew home from near last to defeat Rogue Warrior to win the Listed Baillieu Handicap (1400m) on a heavy Kensington track at Randwick on April 1.
"It's not a matter of being worried about running down Manhattan Rain because over a mile I think we can make up plenty of ground on him late, it's about letting our horse use his natural early speed," Coyle said.
"I've got no doubt the horse will step up to the mark and give the two favourites something to think about.
"And if by chance he doesn't begin well then we'll just drop back and get a trail into it like we did in the Baillieu."
The $6 third favourite on TAB Sportsbet is the Michael Flanigan-trained Choistar who revelled in the wet to win the Listed Fernhill Handicap (1600m) on a heavy Randwick track on April 13.
