Golden Slipper contender Hinchinbrook could back up from his Skyline Stakes win and take on his Gerald Ryan-trained stablemate Intertidal in Saturday's Todman Stakes.

Intertidal is a son of first season sire Snitzel while Hinchinbrook is a three-quarter brother to the Group One winner.

Snitzel was also trained by Ryan and was the long time favourite for the 2005 Golden Slipper.

His hopes were dashed when he banged his head in the starting gates and appeared to lose all race sense of what the race was about, finishing well back.

While Ryan knows he can't guard against every scenario, he is doing everything he can to limit the risks.

"They are both great natured horses," Ryan said.

"Snitzel was too but he was a cocky little bugger with it.

"I will nominate Hinchinbrook for the Todman and see how he is on Tuesday.

"If he doesn't run there he will go straight to the Slipper while Intertidal will definitely run on Saturday."

Solar Charged remains at the top of Golden Slipper markets at $4.60 after Saturday's racing with Crystal Lily the big mover to $6 second elect after her win in the Sweet Embrace.

Former Slipper favourite Beneteau eased to $12 on TAB Sportsbet after his unplaced run in the Skyline when he was posted four-wide most of the way while Hinchinbrook moved in from $21 to $13.

Silver Slipper winner Chance Bye ($10) worked between races on her home track at Kembla Grange on Saturday where she was outpaced by Phenomenal Lass.

Chance Bye is scheduled to have another gallop at the Keith Nolan Classic day at Kembla next Sunday.

Crystal Lily and Blue Diamond Stakes winner Star Witness ($9) were not among original nominations for the Golden Slipper (1200m) on April 3.

Their owners will have to pay a late entry fee of $150,000 to run as do the connections of Decision Time who runs in the Todman with Craig Williams aboard.

Trained by four-time Slipper winner Clarry Conners, Decision Time took his record to four from four with victory in last week's Black Opal Stakes.

"He runs in the Todman and hopefully the owners then pay the late entry," Conners said.

"He's done well."

Conners is keeping a close eye on Georgette Silk who was galloped on during the Kindergarten Stakes at Warwick Farm but is scheduled to run in the Reisling Stakes against Magic Millions winner Military Rose.

"She had quite a big gash but seems to coming along nicely," Conners said.
