Chris Waller's stable warrior Mr Ubiquitous resumes at Canterbury on Wednesday in what the trainer says will be the eight-year-old's final campaign.
The stakeswinner runs in the Freeway Hotel Bistro Handicap (1200m) at his first start since June.
Mr Ubiquitous was part of the former New Zealand trainer's early team of horses after he relocated his stable to Sydney and he scored his biggest victory for Waller on Golden Slipper day last year in the Royal Parma Stakes.
That win gave Waller his first black-type double after Double Dare won the Maurice McCarten Stakes.
Waller has given the gelding a couple of trials and is hoping to see Mr Ubiquitous give a good account of himself and maybe even score his first win since the Royal Parma in March last year.
"Last preparation he didn't have a lot of luck go his way and he raced fair, so we'll just see what he does tomorrow but he's done well leading up to it, so hopefully he can do something," Waller said
"He's at the end of his career and we're hoping to give him a couple more goes before he retires and if he does runs well then we'll race him again in a couple of weeks.
"He's been a nice horse for us and it would be nice to see him go out with a couple of good results."
Mr Ubiquitous has six wins and 19 placings from his 68 starts which have yielded in excess of $500,000 in prizemoney.
Meanwhile, Waller is expecting big improvement from three-year-old African Prince who runs in the Hyland Race Colours Handicap (1200m).
The Johannesburg gelding made his stable debut for Waller at Warwick Farm last Tuesday when he finished sixth to smart Gold Coast filly Moulin Lady.
"He wasn't suited by the slow tempo last time out but there looks to be plenty of speed in the race tomorrow, so he should run a good race," Waller said.
Stablemate Dragon Dance lines-up in the Freeway 2KY Hi-Tide Maiden Plate (1550m) but Waller said he would need to improve to be competitive.
The Danehill Dancer gelding is coming off a long head second to Adoranova at Kembla Grange on October 11.
"This is a big step up for him and he'll need to show a bit more than he did last time but he's a very nice horse who I think will be much better next preparation and anything he does tomorrow will be a bonus," Waller said.
