Kevin Moses will split his team between two states on Saturday when he chases his first significant win at the Magic Millions carnival with Mr Unforgettable.

The last-start winner will take on the likes of favourite O'Lonhro, tough campaigner Hard To Catch and the talented Walking Or Dancing in the $500,000 Magic Millions Cup (1400m).

Moses will also be represented at Randwick by Noble Edict in the AJC Members Hcp (1300m) and Rubirose in the Big6 Jackpot Today Hcp (1100m).

The former top jockey won many big races during his career in the saddle but his best result in one of the major events at the rich Gold Coast carnival was a second aboard Sally Magic in the 1999 Classic for two-year-olds.

"I've won a few of the minor races but my best result in one of the main ones was a second on one of John Singleton's horses when we were beaten by Testa Rossa," Moses said.

Mr Unforgettable is proven at the tricky Gold Coast track where he won the maiden race on the Magic Millions program two years ago.

He also finished fifth in both the 2008 Gold Coast Guineas won by El Cambio and last year's Magic Millions Plate taken out by Zero Rock who will again be among his rivals on Saturday.

The on-pace runner comes into the race in form having posted an emphatic win over 1400m at Randwick last start and Moses has no qualms about his barrier 11.

"I don't think that will worry him," Moses said.

"He goes forward and he should get a nice run from out there.

"I'm very happy with him and he's won a Magic Millions race here before."

Melbourne Cup-winning jockey Corey Brown will ride the five-year-old, an $8.50 chance in TAB Sportsbet markets, and any rain would enhance his chances with three of his four wins coming on ground rated dead or worse.

Moses has enlisted gun apprentice Timothy Bell to partner Rubirose at Randwick and the mare will have a significant weight drop on the 57.5kg she carted last start when seventh to Gigas at Randwick.

She will carry just 50.5kg after Bell's three-kilo claim and has drawn the rails.

"I'm quite happy with her and I think she's a good chance," Moses said.

"I was quite happy with her first run back but I was a bit disappointed with her last run, she just didn't get the 1200 metres.

"She's going to come in quite well at the weights and she's only a little mare so that will help a lot."

Tim Clark will partner Noble Edict who will be having his second run back after resuming with a sound sixth to Altered Boy at Randwick last month.
