Peter Moody will aim for a two-state double with three-year-old fillies Curtana and Miss Gai Flyer at Moonee Valley and Warwick Farm on Saturday.
The trainer has nominated the pair for both the Arrow Training Services Plate (1200m) at the Valley and the Group Three Silver Shadow Stakes (1200m) in Sydney.
A decision on which filly stays at home in Melbourne and which one makes the road trip north will be made later this week.
Curtana was runner-up to stablemate Master Harry in the Streets Ice Cream Stakes (1000m) at Flemington on debut in March before winning over 1000m at Caulfield later that month and again when she resumed on July 31.
Miss Gai Flyer has won two of her four starts over 1100 metres at Bendigo and 1200 at Moonee Valley before finishing a neck second to Motion Picture in the Group Two Karrakatta Plate (1200m) at Ascot in April.
She has already ventured to Sydney where she was fifth to subsequent Golden Slipper winner Crystal Lily in the Group Three Sweet Embrace Stakes (1200m) at Randwick in March.
"We've got the Blue Diamond winner (Star Witness) and the Golden Slipper winner (Crystal Lily) racing down here so the Sydney three-year-olds can't be any better than ours, can they?" Moody said.
"So we shouldn't be shy to go up and have a crack at them."
Buoyed by the upset win of Panipique over Crystal Lily in last Saturday's Quezette Stakes (1100m), Moody believes there is plenty of depth in his three-year-old fillies with the likes of Curtana, Miss Gai Flyer, Willow Creek and Panipique.
David Moodie, the owner-breeder of the Mat Ellerton and Simon Zahra-trained Crystal Lily, races Curtana and Willow Creek with Moody.
Moody said Willow Creek, who won the Group Two Magic Night Stakes (1200m) at Rosehill in March, was likely to resume in the Group Three H D F McNeil Stakes (1200m) at Caulfield on August 28.
Recent Sandown 1200m midweek winner Achievements is nominated for Saturday's McKenzie Stakes (1200m) as is stablemate Anacheeva.
"I think Achievements is a top line colt," Moody said.
Anacheeva won a Sale two-year-old maiden (1200m) on debut in March and hasn't raced since finishing a close fourth in the Group One Champagne Stakes (1600m) won by Skilled at Randwick in April.
Moody was perplexed by the failure of Master Harry who could finish only eighth to Toorak Toff in the Vain Stakes (1100m) at Caulfield on Saturday.
"I think Master Harry is a top colt, but he didn't handle the track at all," he said.
"I won't run him again until I find a dry track for him whether it be Melbourne, Sydney or Adelaide."
Moody said he was unlikely to have a runner in the Group One Golden Rose (1400m) at Rosehill on August 28.
