Early season two-year-old winner Smart Missile has overcome a minor setback and is set to make his first public appearance since the spring at Rosehill on Tuesday.

Smart Missile was scratched from a Randwick barrier trial last week but has since been given a clean bill of health to press on towards the autumn carnival.

The Breeders Plate winner will take his place in a Rosehill heat - one of two trials trainer Anthony Cummings has planned before the youngster resumes racing.

"There was a bit of mucous in his throat and it wasn't worth taking the risk but everything is right now," Cummings' son Edward said.

Corey Brown, who rode Smart Missile to win the Breeders Plate at Randwick in October, will partner the colt at Rosehill.

Smart Missile is pencilled in to resume in the Silver Slipper Stakes at Rosehill on February 26.

The $200,000 race and the $300,000 Todman Slipper Trial at Rosehill on March 19 will be Smart Missile's two lead-up runs to the Golden Slipper on April 2.

There will be four two-year-old trials on Tuesday with anticipation surrounding the reappearance of blue blood colt Spain.

A full brother to Darley star Denman, Spain will be sporting silks for the second time after a first-up trial at Rosehill two weeks ago.

Quality three-year-olds Pressday, Decision Time, Skilled, Obsequious are all nominated to trial.

Popular mare Hot Danish is also a trial nomination but she is due to resume on Saturday.

The presence of Hot Danish in the $200,000 Expressway Stakes at Rosehill could influence the early autumn path of the Cummings-trained Sister Madly.

Sister Madly is entered for Saturday's Group Two weight-for-age sprint but the stable is keeping its options open.

The four-year-old, a twice Group One-placed half-sister to the champion Hong Kong sprinter Silent Witness, will be restricted to short course racing during the autumn.

"It's more than likely she'll be kept to sprints," Cummings jnr said.

"As for Saturday, we'll wait and see what looks like lining up before we commit her to a start."
