Promising Canberra apprentice Taylor Lovelock-Wiggins has received a medical clearance to make a return to the saddle.

He suffered three skull fractures, a crushed eye socket, a broken cheekbone, two fractures of his jaw, bleeding on the brain and a broken finger in a fall at Gundagai on October 9.

Lovelock-Wiggins was given the all clear after riding in a barrier trial at Queanbeyan this week.

Last month he underwent surgery and had a plate and four screws inserted into his eye socket.

He is indentured to his father Peter, a former jockey, and is the younger brother of Queensland-based hoop Ryan Wiggins.

Lovelock-Wiggins rode his first Saturday metropolitan winner at Randwick in August to stamp himself as a rising star.

Meanwhile, apprentice Daniel Ganderton has been left red-faced after being fined $1,000 for making inappropriate entries about other jockeys on his social networking Facebook webpage.

Ganderton pleaded guilty to a charge under AR 175A of conduct prejudicial to the image of racing.

The 20-year-old has been sidelined since breaking a leg at Newcastle in September and is expected to make a return this month.

Ganderton recently transferred from Gai Waterhouse to Paul Messara.
