Former Sydneysider Kidding is showing trainer Liam Birchley she is ready to strike at Eagle Farm.

The daughter of Red Ransom is having her third run for the Queensland horseman in the SITA Environmental Maiden Plate (1200m).

Out of the Rubiton mare Rubitoff and raced by prominent owner-breeders Peter and Wendy Moran, Kidding is backing up a week after an encouraging run over Wednesday's distance at the same venue.

Kidding was a half-length third to Bullion Bay and Birchley has been pleased with the filly since.

"She's done very well, it was a good performance last time out and I'm expecting her to go pretty close," Birchley said.

"She's shown us a little bit since arriving here, she's no superstar but she'll win a race or two."

Kidding has drawn barrier two and will be ridden by Michael Cahill for the third time in a row.

"It's a nice draw and she will be about midfield and getting home," Birchley said.

Kidding had four starts under the guidance of trainer Clarry Conners at Warwick Farm.

She kicked off her time with Birchley with a 1-1/4 length fifth to Frustrating at Eagle Farm over 1000 metres late last month.

Stablemate Blue Jupiter returns after an 11-week let-up in Wednesday's www.brc.com.au Handicap (1000m).

Blue Jupiter was given topweight of 57.5kg but will carry two kilograms less with apprentice Chris McIver aboard.

"He had a good prep last time and will be better for this run," Birchley said.

The five-year-old hasn't raced since his third to Zahas Pride at Doomben over 1200 metres on September 26.

Two weeks earlier he came from worse than midfield to defeat Hesashow over 1200 metres at Eagle Farm.

It was the second win of his preparation after he was too good for his rivals at Doomben in August.

That day he rocketed home from near last to defeat Release Me by a half-neck over 1200m.

All five of Blue Jupiter's wins have come over 1200 metres.

Blue Jupiter was put through his paces in an 800-metre barrier trial at Eagle Farm last week and was fourth to Monashee Dancer.

The Birchley camp also has Zahnoochi lining up in the AAMI Handicap (1500m).

The mare was a short neck second to Kamadiva last time out at Ipswich over 1350 metres on December 4 when first-up after a 25-week spell and has done well since the run.

The consistent mare has two wins and five placings from her 11 starts and Birchley expects her to be competitive again on Wednesday.
