Mark Kavanagh will have runners in three states on Saturday and will be trying to improve on his Group One record of three for the season in Adelaide and possibly Sydney.

With wins in the Caulfield Guineas with Whobegotyou and in the Cox Plate and C F Orr Stakes with Maldivian, the Flemington trainer confirmed Lamarr would run in the Australasian Oaks (2000m) at Morphettville.

He has been very happy with the filly's lead-up form which includes a seven-length win over 1600m and a half-length second to Romneya in the Group Two Fillies Classic (1500m), both at Moonee Valley, and a fast finishing third to Gallica in the Group Two Kewney Stakes (1600m) at Flemington.

"She's more suited to 2000 metres," Kavanagh said.

Stable star Whobegotyou will be ridden by Michael Rodd in the Group Two Phar Lap Stakes (1500m) at Rosehill and Kavanagh was more than happy with the first-up close second to older galloper Rockpecker, given him a 4kg weight advantage, over 1400m at Flemington on March 7.

"It was an excellent run," Kavanagh said of the three-year-old who returned belatedly due to a foot abscess.

Kavanagh hasn't yet decided where to start the highly promising filly Champagne Harmony and stablemate Believe'n'succeed who are both nominated for three races on Saturday.

Believe'n'succeed and Champagne Harmony are both entered for the Robert Sangster Stakes (1200m) with Steven King to ride the latter if he decides to run her in the Group One feature.

At Rosehill, Champagne Harmony is entered for both the Group One Coolmore Classic (1500m) and the Group Two Canterbury Stakes (1300m).

She has won three of her four starts and is chasing a hat-trick following wins over 1200m second up at Caulfield on February 28 and in the Group Two Yallambee Stud Stakes (1200m) at Morphettville on March 9.

Believe'n'succeed is also nominated for the Group Three Star Kingdom Stakes (1100m) at Rosehill and for the Spartacus Hcp (1000m) at Caulfield.

The filly resumed after a year's layoff to win narrowly over 1000m at Moonee Valley on February 20.

She then ran third to Kirvinsky in the MSS Security Stakes (1100m) at Flemington on March 7.

"I want to study the ratings and have a look at the weights when they come out tomorrow before deciding where they run," Kavanagh said.

The trainer has Dr Doute's entered for two 1600m races at Morphettville including the Listed City Of Adelaide Stakes (1600m).

"It looks a good race for him if he could arrive back to form, but he's way out of form at the moment," Kavanagh said.

"I'm a bit reluctant to travel him but he won't go at Caulfield."

The winner of the Group Three Carbine Club Stakes (1600m) at Flemington last spring, Dr Doute's finished eighth to Heart Of Dreams in the Group One Australian Guineas (1600m) at Flemington on March 7.

Queen's Kiss, who made it four wins from seven starts when she resumed with a victory over 1100m at Morphettville on March 9, is engaged in the Apprentice Challenge (1200m) which is heat 5 of the national series.
