Chris Waller has won his second jockey tug-of-war with Queensland stewards confirming Stathi Katsidis' booking for Shellscrape in the Group One BTC Cup on Saturday.

Katsidis was at the centre of a battle for his services with Gillian Heinrich also believing she had a commitment from him to partner Ghetto Blaster throughout his winter campaign, including the Doomben sprint.

Queensland stewards were called in to adjudicate on Monday and chief stipe Wade Birch confirmed they found in favour of the Waller stable.

"We considered all the evidence and the stewards couldn't be satisfied that there was a firm engagement between Gillian Heinrich and Stathi Katsidis so he will ride Shellscrape," Birch said.

The situation was similar to the one Waller found himself in prior to the Doncaster when he thought he had confirmed Nash Rawiller for Rangirangdoo before Gai Waterhouse claimed the jockey was booked for Theseo.

Rawiller eventually partnered Rangirangdoo to a Doncaster victory.

Despite her disappointment at the result of Monday's hearing, Heinrich said there was no bad blood between her and Katsidis, also the regular rider of Magic Millions winner Military Rose.

"I'm very disappointed but there are no hard feelings," Heinrich said.

"I'm glad it's sorted out now but I'm not happy about it. It works for one horse and not the other.

"No-one rang me about Military Rose every time she ran to check who was on her next start but the ball game has changed and I'll be confirming jockeys after every start from now on."

Heinrich has yet to find a replacement rider for Ghetto Blaster in the BTC Cup (1200m).

"I haven't got one yet but I don't think it will be a huge deal, I will leave my options open until acceptance day," she said.

She said she had not ruled out Katsidis jumping back aboard Ghetto Blaster in either the Doomben 10,000 or Stradbroke Handicap.

An impressive first-up winner of the Group Two Victory Stakes at Eagle Farm earlier this month, Ghetto Blaster will be Heinrich's only runner in the Cup with Rasmussen to be saved for a race a week later.
