Doncaster winner Vision And Power will be trainer Joe Pride's headline galloper at Randwick on Saturday but he is also looking forward to the return of classy mare Judged.

Judged will resume in the Listed Show County Quality (1200m), her first start since finishing sixth to Court in the Group Two Sapphire Stakes at Randwick in April.

It was a frustrating autumn for the multiple Group winner who took out the Liverpool City Cup at her second run back before having her campaign curtailed by rain-affected tracks.

As disappointed as Pride was at the time, he is hoping it could work to his mare's favour this spring.

"I would have loved her to have a much heavier autumn but the wet tracks were a nightmare and she kept hitting them," Pride said.

"She needs a lot to go her way but when she gets that she can be devastating.

"I wouldn't like what happened in the autumn to happen again but now, coming into the spring, it could be to her advantage having had a light preparation."

Judged is yet to win in five first-up attempts but she has twice been placed fresh from a spell.

She has been tuned-up for her return with two barrier trials, the latest when third to the speedy Gold Trail at Warwick Farm last Friday.

Pride says there are no thoughts of retiring the six-year-old to the broodmare barn just yet and instead harbours ambitious spring plans encompassing the Epsom Handicap (1600m) at Randwick on October 3 and the Myer Classic (1600m) at Flemington on October 31.

"Both those are races we'd love her to be in," Pride said.

"We'll feel our way through the preparation.

"I like to have a few goals, I'm not one to set a horse specifically for one race, she'll peak for probably her third, fourth and fifth runs like she normally does.

"But I think she can run a big race on Saturday."

Pride will have runners in three of Saturday's five stakes races with Vision And Power to contest the Warwick Stakes (1400m) and mares Bejewelled and Miss Marielle the Toy Show Quality (1400m).

"Bejewelled has had a great campaign, I'm very happy with her and Miss Marielle," Pride said.

"It again looks like the right sort of race for both of them on Saturday."

The pair finished second and third respectively to Altered Boy at their most recent starts at Randwick two weeks ago.
