Stutt Stakes winner Hollowlea has made an earlier than planned return to Terry and Karina O'Sullivan's Stawell stable in preparation for an Australian Guineas campaign.

Terry O'Sullivan said a stormy weather forecast for Victoria led to the decision to bring the talented colt in from the spelling paddock about a week ago.

"They forecast some thunderstorms and some shocking weather so we went and got him out of the paddock a couple of days early," O'Sullivan said.

"He did very, very well in the paddock and has been back about a week."

Hollowlea was a dual stakes winner in the spring landing the Listed Henry Bucks Best Dressed Stakes (1400m) at Flemington and beating Run For Levi in the Group Two Stutt Stakes (1600m) at Moonee Valley.

He hasn't raced since a pleasing third to Rekindled Interest and subsequent Victoria Derby winner Lion Tamer in the Group Two AAMI Vase (2040m) at Moonee Valley on Cox Plate Day.

O'Sullivan said Hollowlea would most probably resume in the Listed Zeditave Stakes (1200m) at Caulfield on January 26.

"He has done really well and we will look at the Zeditave first up and aim him at the Australian Guineas," O'Sullivan said.

"We might have to adjust that goal as we get into his program but I'm pleased with him at the moment.

"He went to the paddock in great order and his last run was good at Moonee Valley.

"He has probably grown a little bit, and has certainly furnished out and thickened up a bit."

The Group One Australian Guineas (1600m) is at Flemington on March 5.

Entries close on January 11 for the Guineas as well as the Group One $1 million Newmarket Handicap and Group One $1 million Australian Cup (2000m).

Trainer Peter Moody has confirmed unbeaten mare Black Caviar will be entered for the Newmarket which is run on Australian Cup Day, March 12.

Moody said the four-year-old would run in the feature after the weight-for-age Lightning Stakes (1000m) on February 19 if she got an acceptable weight when handicaps are declared on March 1.
