Hidden Kisses will be on trial to join trainer Rob Heathcote's Melbourne team for the spring when she lines up at Eagle Farm on Saturday.

Heathcote has overlooked the filly's first-up defeat and is confident of a better performance from the daughter of Hidden Dragon in Saturday's Thirsty Camel Handicap (1400m).

Hidden Kisses produced a disappointing comeback at her first run for four months when only sixth to Startsmeup in three-year-old company over 1350 metres at Doomben two weeks ago.

"Forget her run first-up. She spent more time on the outside fence than on the inside," Heathcote said.

"I'm convinced she got a virus when I sent her to Sydney for the Sires in the autumn and I'm willing to forgive her recent form.

"If she runs well she'll join my Melbourne team and go after some of the better fillies and mares races over 1600 metres and more."

Heathcote currently has three of his stable in Melbourne including Woorim who runs in Sunday's Listed Herald Sun Stakes (1400m) at Flemington.

"Woorim is running Sunday but I've also got Acquired and Our Lukas down there and Buffering may go back there after he runs in Sydney," he said.

Buffering will be ridden by Nash Rawiller in the Group Two Roman Consul Stakes (1200m) at Randwick on Saturday.

Woorim narrowly missed giving Heathcote his first Group One winner when third to Response in the Sir Rupert Clarke Stakes (1400m) at Caulfield on September 18.

Heathcote has booked Chris Munce to partner Hidden Kisses who was ridden by his stable apprentice Brent Evans last start.

"From barrier four Chris should have her midfield and be able to produce her at the right time," he said.

Munce has been in great form in recent weeks and trails leader Jim Byrne by just one win in the Brisbane jockeys' premiership.

He will head to Melbourne after the Eagle Farm meeting to ride Queensland filly Ringa Ringa Rosie in the Group Two Sir Edward Manifold Stakes (1600m) at Flemington on Sunday.

Heathcote has always had a big opinion of Hidden Kisses who has won twice in her seven-start career.

Hidden Kisses' last win was at Eagle Farm in March which earned her a trip to Sydney for the Group One Sires' Produce Stakes (1400m) in April.

However, she raced below expectations when finishing ninth to Yosei in the Randwick feature and was immediately returned home.

Heathcote earmarked the Group One Queensland Oaks (2400m) at Eagle Farm in June as her winter mission but she was spelled after failing twice at Listed level in the Doomben Slipper and Hampden Stakes at Doomben in May.
