Fritz's Princess will be reunited with owner Nick Moraitis' favourite jockey and big-race specialist Jim Cassidy in Saturday's Premiere Stakes at Rosehill.

It's a big week for Moraitis whose famous pink, white and grey colours will also be on show on Friday in a crucial barrier trial at Warwick Farm for dual Group One winner Vision And Power with Cassidy again doing the steering.

Cassidy made a successful return to race riding at Randwick last Wednesday when he booted home Lady Beckworth in the opening race of the day.

He had been sidelined since injuring his right shoulder in the Queensland Derby in June.

The Kris Lees-trained Fritz's Princess comes into the Group Two Rosehill feature over 1200m after running fourth to Teasing in the Group Three Missile Stakes (1100m) at Rosehill on August 1.

Jockey Glyn Schofield had no luck on Fritz's Princess who jumped from the widest alley (11) before getting stuck behind a wall of horses in the run home.

Despite being checked near the 200 metres and never having any clear running in the closing stages, Fritz's Princess was just over two lengths from the winner.

The run was Fritz's Princess' first since a 39-week injury-extended spell.

"We were taking her to Adelaide for the Robert Sangster but she got a virus and then we returned to Sydney for an autumn campaign but we found she cracked a piece of her splint bone," Lees said.

"It's always a concern if you are going to get them back racing let alone anywhere near their best but she's come back very well.

"There should be another strong tempo and while it's a little bit of a stronger race than last time, she'll have benefited enormously from that last run.

"Jimmy knows her well and will save her up for a big finish."

Cassidy has ridden Fritz's Princess in four of her nine wins including the Group Two The Shorts (1100m) at Randwick in October last year.

Lees said a spring campaign would become clearer after Saturday.

"We've got a few options with her and things will become clearer after this race," Lees said.

"Nick loves his racing so much that there's a good chance she'll keep going for a while yet."

Vision And Power will make his return in the Group Two Warwick Stakes (1400m) at Randwick on August 22.

Cassidy rode him to wins in the George Ryder Stakes and the Doncaster in autumn.

Moraitis and Cassidy have had a long and successful association going back more than a decade, combining to win the 1997 Caulfield and Melbourne Cups with champion Might And Power as well as the Cox Plate a year later.
