Lee Freedman dominated the undercard on Adelaide Cup Day with a feature race treble at Morphettville.

From just five runners in four races on Monday, the stable saddled up three impressive winners - Baby Corn, Pluralism and Estee.

"It's been a good day," the stable's racing manager Sam Pritchard-Gordon said.

"To have three good winners is fantastic."

The stable kicked away the day by winning the second event, the listed Pewsey Vale Stakes for two-year-old fillies.

Baby Corn, a home bred daughter of Exceed and Excel and Freedman's former Group winner Sweet Corn, got up in the final 50 metres to beat stablemate Fast Talker.

"She's always shown us good ability," Pritchard-Gordon said of Baby Corn.

"We didn't think there was much between the two before the race and the margin (a head) indicated that."

A power failure moments before the field jumped prevented Freedman, who was in Melbourne, seeing Pluralism lead all the way in the $200,000 BMW Magic Millions Adelaide 2YO Classic (1200m).

The Hall Of Fame trainer learned of the result when he was able to speak to Pritchard-Gordon as the runners returned to scale.

A son of Strategic and a $50,000 purchase from the Gold Coast last year, Pluralism showed great speed out of the barriers and then held on strongly for a three quarter length victory.

A decision to geld Pluralism after his first run when fourth has proven a masterstroke.

"He's been a different horse since the gelding operation," Prtichard-Gordon said.

"He's now had two runs for two wins."

Connections are toying with the idea of sending Pluralism further west to contest the $500,000 Group Two Karrakatta Plate at Ascot on March 28.

"He's not among the original entries but the Karrakatta Plate in Perth is an option for him," Pritchard-Gordon said.

"He's a great traveller. He would take it in his stride."

"But Lee will decide after we see how he pulls up and go from there," he added.

Freedman rounded out the treble when Estee rattled home to win the $70,000 listed Adelaide Guineas (1600m).

Raced by Sheikh Mohammed, Estee is one of the country's most valuable broodmare prospects being a daughter of champion sire Redoute's Choice and former glamour race filly Tycoon Lil.

Sheikh Mohammed's Australian representative Trevor Lobb said Estee would stay in Adelaide.

"The Australasian Oaks has always been her target," Lobb said.

"At this stage that is where she is heading."

Freedman won his first ever Group One in the Australasian Oaks in 1986 with Miss Clipper.

This year's three-year-old fillies feature will be run at Morphettville over 2000 metres on March 21.
