Group One winners Forensics and Sousa head the list of stars returning to Crown Lodge this week to prepare for the autumn carnival.

Trainer Peter Snowden is expecting a large contingent to arrive at Warwick Farm on Monday from the pre-training farm.

While Forensics and Sousa already have the runs on the board, Snowden said he also had high expectations from Drumbeats who broke his maiden at his fourth start when he claimed the Listed Hilton International at Flemington on November 8.

"Forensics' main aim will be the Queen Of The Turf while the Derby is the target for Sousa," Snowden said.

"I also think Drumbeats is a horse of potential and we will aim him at the Randwick Guineas."

Forensics and Sousa are both special to Snowden who is the number one trainer for Sheikh Mohammed's Darley Australia.

The winner of the 2007 Golden Slipper when trained by John Hawkes for Bob Ingham's Woodlands Syndicate, Forensics was Snowden's first Group One winner as a trainer in his own right.

He took over from Hawkes in late 2007 and was retained by Darley when it bought Ingham's racing and breeding concerns.

Forensics' win in the Queen Of the Turf in April was the last major for Woodlands with sale finalised just days later.

Sousa won the Spring Champion Stakes to give the Darley-Snowden combination its first Australian Group One and Forensics brought up number two with her victory in the Myer Classic.

Snowden said he was uncertain whether Forensics would run in the Coolmore Classic (1500m) on March 21 which has a maximum topweight of 61kg.

"The Queen Of the turf is weight-for-age and she would obviously get a lot of weight in the Coolmore," he said.

The Queen Of The Turf (1500m) is at Rosehill on April 4 while the AJC Australian Derby (2400m) is a week later.

El Cambio, who finished second to Forensics in the $1 million Golden Rose in March, is also due back on Monday along with Musket.

A three-quarter brother to the great Makybe Diva, Musket claimed his first stakes win in the Group Two Shannon Stakes in September beating Black Piranha.
