Group One-placed sprinter Fist of Fury has been brought out of retirement and is back in work at Randwick with John O'Shea.

The four-year-old was retired earlier this year with the intention of heading to stud but O'Shea confirmed the sprinter had been back in work for about three weeks now.

The son of Hussonet has also been gelded.

"There was a deal with a bloke to send him to stud but it fell through and it was impossible to find another stud for the coming season so the decision was taken to put him in work again," O'Shea said.

"I recommended to the owners that his best chance at a racing career would be if we were to geld him."

O'Shea said Fist Of Fury, who finished second to Northern Meteor in the Group One Coolmore Stud Stakes (1200m) at Flemington in 2008, wasn't expected back at the races until around September.

"He's been out a while, but I'm very happy with him," the trainer said.

The Randwick conditioner has always had a big opinion of Fist Of Fury and believes he has a good race win in him in coming seasons.

He hasn't raced since the Group Three AAMI Stakes (1400m) at Flemington on October 31 last year.

"I'm really looking forward to having him back in the stable," O'Shea said.

"I do think he's got a big race win in him. He's only lightly raced and he can now race until he's seven or eight."

Fist Of Fury will join a number of other top-class gallopers being prepared for the spring by O'Shea.

Group One winners Zabrasive and Jessicabeel have both spelled very well and have big spring carnivals planned for them, with the Caulfield and Melbourne Cups on their agenda.

Rosehill Guineas winner Zabrasive will campaign in Melbourne beginning with the Memsie Stakes (1400m) at the end of August.

Sydney Cup winner Jessicabeel will kick off her campaign in Sydney before heading to Melbourne later in the spring.

Kindergarten Stakes winner Solar Charged, who finished sixth in this year's Golden Slipper, has also returned to O'Shea's stables with the Group Three San Domenico Stakes (1000m) at Randwick her first-up mission as a three-year-old.

"She's grown a lot and done all the right things," O'Shea said.

Ambers Waltz, who finished second to subsequent Golden Slipper winner Crystal Lily in the Sweet Embrace Stakes before going for a spell, came back into work on Tuesday with the Group One Thousand Guineas (1600m) in Melbourne her main spring objective.
