Tim Martin is hopeful Queensland Oaks contender Fibrillation has overcome a setback in time to still be a major player in the three-year-old fillies classic.

Martin had first planned to run the filly in The Roses (2020m) in Brisbane this weekend as a lead-up to the Group One Oaks (2400m) on June 4, but a foot injury has kept her in Sydney.

Fibrillation will instead run in the Nepean Engineering Handicap (1800m) at Rosehill on Saturday against older horses.

"She had a setback with a foot injury and we've been fighting that for the past 10 days," Martin said.

"Rather than send her to Brisbane for the Roses I decided to keep her here with me and she'll run at Rosehill and then hopefully head up for the Oaks.

"Touch wood, she seems fine now. Unless she's 100 per cent she won't run on Saturday but at this stage she appears to be 100 per cent."

Stewards have approved a plating change for the filly, with Fibrillation to wear front heart bar plates in Saturday's race.

Fibrillation hasn't started since finishing fourth in the Group One AJC Australian Oaks (2400m) at Randwick on April 16.

"I definitely want to see her run well on Saturday, and most importantly pull up well, and then we can travel to Brisbane for the Oaks," Martin said.

The Rosehill trainer has opted for 3kg claiming apprentice Adam Hyeronimus to offset the daughter of Diatribe's 59kg impost in Saturday's race.

Fibrillation is on the fourth line of Queensland Oaks betting at $9 with TAB Sportsbet.

Gold Coast Bracelet winner Divorces is the current Oaks favourite at $5 ahead of New Zealand filly Scarlett Lady ($7.50) and Fillydelphia ($8).

Divorces and Scarlett Lady both run in the Roses at Doomben.
