Star jockey Dwayne Dunn's hopes of contesting Sydney Group Ones The BMW and Golden Slipper will be determined by Victoria's Racing Appeals and Disciplinary Board on Tuesday.

Dunn has been engaged to ride Zarita in the BMW and has been offered the mount on Shadow Miss if she makes the field for the $3.5 million Golden Slipper, two of the features on Saturday's Rosehill card.

Dunn's appeal over an incident at Yarra Glen on Sunday will be heard at 10.15am.

Stewards found him guilty of permitting his mount The Noughties to shift in when not sufficiently clear of Blues Train resulting in that gelding being checked near the 800m of a 1200m race.

Dunn appealed both the stewards' decision and the severity of the penalty.

He did not apply for a stay of proceedings but said he gave himself a good chance of beating the charge.

Dunn said he was already being punished because trainers were not waiting for the result of his appeal and he had not been offered any other rides at Saturday's Rosehill meeting.

Final acceptances for both the Golden Slipper and The BMW close at 10am on Tuesday and jockeys have to be declared by 4pm.

Trainer Pat Hyland said Zarita would leave for Sydney on Wednesday night.

"She's going fantastic," Hyland said.

Dunn has ridden Zarita at her past four starts, the latest a 1-1/2 length fourth to Niconero in the Australian Cup (2000m) at Flemington on March 7.

In his previous start, the Pentire four-year-old finished third behind Theseo in the St George Stakes (1800m) at Caulfield.

Shadow Miss, prepared by Garry White at Hawkesbury, is a Rosehill winner and ran fifth to Indian Ocean in the Magic Night Stakes on Saturday.
