Talented gelding Voice Commander will chase his second feature race win in Queensland when he lines up in the Listed Lough Neagh Stakes at Doomben.

Trained by Nick Olive at Canberra, the five-year-old plundered the Weetwood Handicap at Toowoomba in July and was also placed in both the Magic Millions Cup at the Gold Coast and Eye Liner Stakes at Ipswich.

He is among 19 nominations for Saturday's 1350 metre sprint along with the Trevor Bailey-trained Barlinnie and Forestreno from the Phil McLeod stable, who ran the quinella in the corresponding event 12 months ago when it was known as the Doomben Stakes.

Robbie Heathcote won't have a starter in the feature race but he is hoping to come away with some of the minor spoils.

Heathcote will have two runners in the 2020 metre Open Handicap, last start Doomben winner Humma and the consistent Kentish Rose.

He has also put Our Lukas in the race as a precaution but the Ipswich Cup winner is likely to head to Sydney for the Group Two Villiers Stakes (1600m) at Randwick.

"Humma is an ex-Sydney horse and since he's been here he's done really well," Heathcote said.

"He is rejuvenated, which is what the Queensland sun can do.

"Little Kentish Rose has run three fourths at her last three starts, she is so honest and consistent."

The Eagle Farm-based trainer also has juvenile Fillydelphia on track to make her debut in the QTIS Two-Years-Old Hcp (1110m).

By Bianconi out of Encosta De Lago mare Edel Vanessa, Fillydelphia boasts a barrier trial win over Slice And Dice who posted a six length romp at Eagle Farm before being beaten as an odds-on favourite last start.

Heathcote said Fillydelphia had shown plenty of natural talent but still had a lot to learn in the manners department.

"Her trial was good and she's got ability but she's a bit of a nutter," Heathcote said.

"Is she up to winning this race on ability? Yes. Does she have the demeanour to win? Well, we'll see how she behaves herself."

Saturday's meeting also features the return of exciting mare Chakvetadze who will be out to make it seven wins from seven starts in the Open Handicap (1010m).

She has not raced since landing her first black-type success in the Group Three Gold Coast Guineas in May and tuned up for her resumption with a barrier trial win at Toowoomba.
