Brilliant colt Denman is on track to make a resounding return in the Zeditave Stakes after trainer Peter Snowden elected not to pit him against unbeaten filly Black Caviar.

The Darley trainer did not accept with Denman for Friday night's Australia Stakes at Moonee Valley where the Peter Moody-trained Black Caviar did her lofty reputation no harm with an emphatic victory against the older horses.

Denman will instead tackle his own age and sex over 1200 metres in the Zeditave at Caulfield on Tuesday and pending his performance, could be tested against more seasoned gallopers in the Group One Orr Stakes (1400m) next month.

"It's all gone well and his work has been good," Snowden said.

"I'm looking forward to Tuesday.

"He'll race again on the 6th of February but whether it's in the Orr or the Armanasco depends on what he does and how he pulls up from Tuesday."

The winner of the Group One Golden Rose in August, Denman has not raced since finishing unplaced as favourite in the Caulfield Guineas won by Starspangledbanner.

Carrara, who was runner-up in the Guineas, is also scheduled to make his return in the Zeditave along with promising Danny O'Brien-trained colt Spacecraft who has won two of his four starts and finished second to Hanks in the AAMI Vase at his only try at stakes company.

Denman and Carrara are equal topweights with 57.5kg and have drawn barriers five and 10 respectively while Spacecraft has gate three.

Meanwhile, star sprinter All Silent will step up his preparations for the major autumn races this week after recovering well from his luckless unplaced run in the Hong Kong Sprint in December.

All Silent is being aimed at the Group One Newmarket Handicap (1200m) at Flemington and with the race only six weeks away, trainer Grahame Begg is keen to get the dual Group One winner doing some serious work.

The horse has remained in Melbourne after being released from the Sandown quarantine centre two weeks ago.

"The Newmarket is on the 6th of March so we need to start to click him up a bit," Begg said.

"But he's in great shape."

Stablemate Palacio De Cristal is also back in work and Begg has pencilled in a barrier trial for the mare on Friday.

A brilliant winner of the Villiers Stakes last month, Palacio De Cristal will try to become the first mare to win the Doncaster since Private Steer in 2004.
