Victoria's devastating bushfires have not caused a change of heart from trainer Shaun Dwyer who still plans a move to Bendigo.

Dwyer will saddle his last Brisbane runner when Ana Me Cori lines up in the Moreton Bar Handicap (1200m) at Wednesday's Eagle Farm meeting.

"I'm supposed to head there next week but I may have to delay it a bit because of the bushfires," Dwyer said.

"The paperwork is still being finalised to move into the stables at Bendigo but I'm still going.

"Ana Me Cori will be my last runner in Brisbane as I won't have any runners at Eagle Farm on Saturday.

"I've got a couple in at Ipswich on Thursday and at Caloundra on Sunday which will probably be the last meeting for us here."

Like all Australians, Dwyer is shocked at the devastation and death caused by the Victorian bushfires.

"It's a woeful situation," Dwyer said.

"My stables are next to the racecourse in east Bendigo where it is mostly semi-rural and I'm just hoping the fires don't get there.

"From what I've been told the fires are more to the west of Bendigo."

While Dwyer's prayers are for rain to ease the Victorian bushfires, he is also hoping for a wet track for Ana Me Cori.

"She's a miler and will probably find this a bit short," Dwyer said.

"She'll race well but any rain will be help her."

Ana Me Cori is a daughter of Umatilla and hasn't raced for more than two months, since finishing ninth in a 1350-metre Class Two at Ipswich on December 11.

In her previous campaign Dwyer rated her highly enough to start her in the Group Two Queensland Guineas at Eagle Farm last June.

She wasn't disgraced racing well out of her grade when eighth, beaten less than six lengths, by Turffontein in the 1600-metre feature.

Dwyer is best known for winning the 2003 Magic Millions Classic at the Gold Coast with Regimental Gal.

Originally from north Queensland, Dwyer spent several years as foreman for trainers Bart Cummings and Gai Waterhouse in Sydney before returning to his home state in 1998.

After training for a number of years at Toowoomba he moved to Deagon on Brisbane's northern outskirts but high rents were one reason which prompted his decision to move south.
