Melbourne Cup-winning jockey Corey Brown will decide early this week whether to accept an invitation to ride in Dubai.

Brown was invited to compete in an international jockeys' challenge at Meydan on March 5 featuring the winning jockeys of 11 premier races from around the world.

However, if Brown goes to Dubai it would rule him out of a huge weekend in Australia with the Chipping Norton Stakes meeting at Warwick Farm on March 6 and also the Australian Cup meeting at Flemington on the same day.

"I haven't decided yet. I told them I would make my decision by early this week because they've been on my back a bit as it is so close to the day," Brown said.

"It's a hard decision because there are some good races on here and I'll have some good horses to ride.

"It's probably 50-50 at the moment, I'll talk to my wife and a few trainers and make my decision early in the week."

The Meydan Masters will be conducted over four races at the new state-of-the-art track in Dubai.

Brown has never ridden in Dubai and apart for the timing issue, would relish the chance.

"It's very inviting and a great opportunity to race on a new track, against the world's best riders," Brown said.

The concept of the series differs from most others where jockeys are chosen to represent their respective countries.
